Title Fundamentals of the theory of operator algebras, Vol. 3: Special Topics
Publisher Quinn-Woodbine Inc.

This textbook contains the solutions to the exercises appearing in Volume I of the treatise entitled "Fundamentals of the Theory of Operator Algebras" published in the series "Pure and Applied Mathematics" by Academic Press in 1983.

These solutions go thoroughly into the basic theory and suggest new methods of investigation for graduate students, mathematicians, research workers and theoretical physicists in: linear spaces, basics of Hilbert space and linear operators, Banach algebras, elementary C*-algebra theory and elementary von Neumann algebra theory.

The book includes five chapters covering the above mentioned topics preceded by a preface, the contents of Volume IV and exercise groupings and followed by a persuasive bibliography and an index.

The exercises and their corresponding solutions given with clarity and profoundness help the reader to extend his knowledge in functional analysis and quantum physics and confirm the good quality of this book.
